Some patients require more than just glasses to provide them with optimal vision. Specialty contact lenses can unlock patients’ visual potential by increasing clarity and improving their activities of daily living.
Dr. Ruiz focused on the area of specialty contacts during his time at the Illinois College of Optometry. Specialty lenses can be used in a variety of different ways such as the following:
-Improving vision with scleral lenses in patients with keratoconus or other ocular diseases
-Improving vision overnight with Orth-keratology lenses for specific prescriptions ranges. Not only can it improve vision, but also be used for Myopia control in children.
-Fitting with multi-focal contact lenses to remove the need for readers
Feel free to ask/inquire about these types of lenses with Dr. Ruiz!
